The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently authorized and recommended booster doses of Moderna and J&J COVID-19 vaccines in addition to the Pfizer boosters previously authorized. They also provided authorization to receive a booster dose of a vaccine different from the one originally received (mix and match dosing). COVID-19 booster vaccines are available for people who completed their second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine at least six months ago, and who are:
- 65 years and older
- Age 18 and older and who live in long-term care settings
- Age 18 and older who have underlying medical conditions
- Age 18 and older who work or live in high-risk settings
For people who received the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, booster shots are also recommended for those who are 18 and older and who were vaccinated two or more months ago.

Monday October 25 | 1:00pm ET The National Women’s Business Council (NWBC) is hosting a public meeting today. This online meeting will allow the Council to provide an update on its latest initiatives and policy development. Each of the Council’s subcommittees (Access to Capital & Opportunity, Women in S.T.E.M., and Rural Women’s Entrepreneurship) will present their priorities and projects before the full body and the public.
